Buying Property in Pilar de la Horadada and Torre de le Horadada

Lying on the borders of Alicante and Murcia Torre de la Horadada is a modern coastal resort of mostly new build villas apartments and houses. The neighbouring Pilar de la Horadada, once again with various types of mostly new build property for sale, is around a kilometre inland at the southern end of the Costa Blanca border and just to the north of the large lagoon the Mar Menor.

Being on the border of two regions that were often at war means this is a town with a long and colourful history as can be seen by the fortified watchtower that still stands on the coast and in the museum where many artefacts can be viewed and the towns interesting and colourful history discovered.

Today however Pilar and Torre de la Horadada are a haven for both holiday makers and those who want to find an investment property or residential home for sale in the sun with a large variety of hotels, restaurants, bars, shops and sports facilities. The white sandy beaches are perfect for family holidays and it is only around a ten minute drive from the large town of San Javier and its airport.

Golf lovers have the choice of the local Lo Romero golf course which is around a five minute drive to the east and three other championship golf courses are an easy drive north. The calm, warm waters of the Mar Menor are also under a ten minute drive where you can find a wealth of water-sports and activities from diving and fishing to sailing and jet-skiing.
