La Zenia one of the most popular property locations on the Orihuela Costa, is located between Playa Flamenca and Cabo Roig. It has long been a favourite destination, both for holidays and long term living partly due to the magnificent four star La Zenia Hotel and also for its two beautiful sandy beaches, the small Cala Cerrada and the larger Cala Bosque between which the La Zenia Hotel is located.

As for things to do around La Zenia, apart from enjoying the golden sands and all the usual water borne activities found on the coast, most of the towns within walking distance host local markets with Playa Flamenca, the town directly to the north, having a particularly notable Saturday market and within a short drive you have the Aqua Park at Torrevieja, go-karting at Punta Prima and three top class golf courses.

In the evening the locally famous cliff top walk is very popular to take in some spectacular views of the area before wandering back to town to sample some of the entertainment provided by the many bars and restaurants.

As with most of the towns in this region recent years have seen an expansion as new houses villas and apartments of all kinds have been built to accommodate both a larger influx of holiday makers and those seeking a permanent residence here. Naturally a larger population has opened up more opportunities and needs for services and La Zenia now plays host to some fantastic places to eat and drink around the town.

The most significant development in La Zenia however has been the building of the La Zenia Boulevard commercial centre. This has proved a big hit, not just for the people of La Zenia but with residents of all of the towns in the area using the facilities there which is hardly surprising as it houses over a hundred outlets ranging from top brand fashion and sports shops to pharmacies and pet stores, a wealth of cafes, restaurants and fast food outlets and even a casino and bowling alley.
